Labyrinth
Labyrinths are spiral paths, symbols of growth & development. A labyrinth has one path that is in full view, which allows a person to be quiet & focus internally. Unlike a maze where you lose your way, the labyrinth is a meditation tool that is designed for you to find your way.

What are the benefits of Walking the Labyrinth?
Walking the Labyrinth quiets the mind, opens the heart, & grounds the body... Some find answers to questions long asked, some find healing, creativity, a sense of wholeness... we all find different things on our labyrinth journey…

What is the Practice of Prayer Labyrinths?
The practice of prayer labyrinths is an embodied prayer that engages your whole self and allows the spirit to rest. It is a path of prayer, a walking meditation, a crucible of change, a watering hole for the spirit and a mirror of the soul.  Click here to learn more.

Ways people engage with this practice:
Processing grief, mourning, seeking clarity or inspiration, wrestling with a question, wanting a quiet space to meditate, celebrating a birth of something/someone new, setting an intention or processing a dream. Really there are endless ways to walk the Labyrinth, there is no right or wrong way to walk a Labyrinth.   Click here for guidelines to walk the labyrinth.

“It’s no surprise, then, that labyrinths have become a form of meditation for stress reduction & self-reflection, & even people who find meditation difficult often enjoy walking the labyrinth. This is because the labyrinth engages the body & the linear, analytical part of the brain in the logical progression of walking the path, which aids us to calm the flow of stressful thoughts that disrupt meditation.” ~ Dr. Lauren Artress

As a Labyrinth Facilitator,
